Are you ready to take the step from studio jeweler to efficiently producing and selling a cohesive body of work? This highly informational workshop is designed to address issues such as how to develop a coherent line for production, promote sales, protect individual designs, and developing presentation skills. We will discuss topics such as production resources tips & tricks, wholesale & retail pricing, where to sell & promote your work and much more.

Discussion of each students work as a group, as well as individual consultation for technical and aesthetic advice will be provided. Students are asked to bring their “work in progress” including their designs, samples, and ideas/sketches for their future jewelry line.

With instructor Emilie Shapiro

Emilie received her B.F.A. in Art + Design with a concentration in jewelry and metalsmithing from Syracuse University. She also studied at Alchimia, a contemporary school of jewelry in Florence, Italy with artists Peter Bauhuis, Yoko Shimizu, and Marzia Rossi. Before launching her own jewelry line We Are Here – Emilie worked as the Production Manager at Pamela Love and Allforthemountain. Emilie uses metal as her main material to convey her ideas as wearable art.
