Hachi Asian Bistro, a new restaurant from owner Eric Ong of Nana restaurant in Park Slope, opened July 4, 2009 on Grand Street in Williamsburg. The restaurant serves Pan-Asian cuisine influenced by the traditional dishes of Japan, China, Thailand, and Malaysia, all priced under $8.

Located just steps away from the Lorimer L station, the 70 seat restaurant features an array of Asian cuisine. Dishes range from the traditional Wok Lo Mein to the curious Angry Pizza, a crispy pan-fried roti topped with spicy tuna or salmon and garnished with shredded seaweed, bonito flakes and a wasabi cream sauce. The sushi menu is also extensive, including specialty rolls such as the Illusion; a tuna, salmon, and avocado roll topped with spicy lobster. Malaysian dishes, such as the Keuh Toew and meats seasoned with Malay curry also appear on the menu as a nod to Ong’s own heritage.
