El Beit edit info

158 Bedford Ave. Brooklyn 11211 (N. 8th and N. 9th)
Replacing Bedford Ave's beloved Read Cafe, El Beit boasts french press pots, the newest LaMarzocco on the market and the Clover individual coffee brewer. Coffee connoisseurs, rejoice.

  • The iced coffee was pretty good but not worth the $3.50, especially since last week I went and it was $3.00. I wasn't a huge fan of Read either but it doesn't seem to offer anything new.

  • Jesus christ, that was a strong cup of coffee. Delicious, but I'm bouncing off the walls.

  • El Beit is awesome. The coffee is awesome and the atmosphere is perfect for working, reading, or conversation. The outside area is excellent, too.
