Problem with "Pets on the Run" on Manhattan Ave.

About a year ago Pets on the Run, a pet supply store, opened on Manhattan Ave. between Huron and India St. While I was happy about the addition at first, I stopped buying there when I noticed that the store had cages brimming with little birds on the noisy sidewalk and that their pet food was more expensive than at The Garden.

The other day I walked past Pets on the Run and noticed a giant parrot in a very small cage on the sidewalk next to the little birds. I tried to tell the owner of the store that the cage was too small and busy Manhattan Ave. too loud for the bird. The store owner - or the guy who said he was the store owner - started yelling and cursing, calling me a fucking bitch etc. etc. If this is how they treat animals (and customers), I hope that fellow Greenpointers will refrain from buying their pet supplies at Pets on the Run.
