Stabbing on Driggs

The Gothamist has posted again today on the rumor of the series of stabbings in the Williamsburg area.

The suspect was said to be in his 20s or 30s (a little late for gang initiation?) and word is that a trained camera on the block recorded the incident -- but it failed to capture the assailant's face.

This incident occurred on June 12 at 8:30 am on Fillmore Street. A long-time resident in his early 40s was stabbed multiple times in the chest. He survived (doctor said the knife came just millimeters from puncturing his heart). I learned of this only because the victim is an acquaintance and a mutual friend emailed me the news a few days ago. This is a very true story - it's a crime that we don't know what's happening in our own backyard. Please folks, be aware.
