Assistant Web Editor Summer Internship - Paid!

About the Internship:
A small creative agency in NYC's East Village is looking for two summer interns to start mid-July and work through the end of August, helping to update, manage and edit content for an interactive website (http://www.welikebike42.com) dedicated to promoting and supporting a cross-country bike ride to raise bicycle awareness and money for charity as well celebrate bike culture. The ride is comprised of 42 riders: 21 going across the country along a northern route and 21 crossing a southern route. Each rider will have a profile, photos, videos and a blog on the website that will need editing and updating. Additionally, there are two film crews accompanying the tour to document the ride, and the Assistant Web Editor will also help with managing the daily updates for film and photos. This position will provide training on how to use a customized content management system (CMS) as well as how to convert video files to be web-broadcast ready, edit photo files, and light copyediting. Some light admin help may also be required at times. Flex/work from home schedule, but sometimes weekend updating may be necessary. Internship will pay between $500-$1,000 depending on experience, and ideal candidates will have their own computers and be able to work from home sometimes.
