Brooklyn's own Hilary Hawke, a banjo playing singer-songwriter, is near and dear in the hearts of New York City’s bluegrass lovers. Her debut full-length album, Goodwill, features all original songs that place Hilary’s Americana/Alt-bluegrass songwriting at the forefront Brooklyn’s growing country music scene.

Goodwill releases to the public on June 18 at Jalopy Theatre, Brooklyn’s newest hot spot for traditional music. (http://www.jalopy.biz/) This night of music kicks off at 9 pm with opening band, The Woes, just returned from touring with Langhorne Slim.

A $10-cover charge admits one for a night of special guests, surprises, cupcakes, pizza and other free food! Recession special offer for show goers: pay-what-you-can deal for the Goodwill album.

Hilary hails from upstate New York, a Brooklyn resident for five years. She plays with numerous musicians around the city, and plays music for school children in NYC and New Jersey.
